TITUS II TEACHER COLLEGE - Tiruvalla
Titus Teacher College, Tiruvalla was established in 1957 under the auspices of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church of Malabar and was dedicated to the revered memory of His Grace the Most Rev. Titus II who was Metropolitan from 1910 to 1943. The College is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University and has a record of earnest endeavor in fostering Christian ideals of Teachers Education. The management is vested in the Governing Council with His Lordship The Rt. Rev. Dr. Zacharias Mar Theophilos Suffragan Metropolitan as Chairman. Our college crest is symbolic and the motto accompanying it is a noble one. The crest has four quarters divided by a cross. The left upper quarter has a lighted torch. It is ready to light other torches which come in its way symbolic of the motto 'lighted to lighten'. The open book in the middle represents knowledge. The college imparts knowledge to the scholars who come seeking it year after year. Then there is the dove which stands for peace.
